Booking Instructions
If you wish to book either the courses at the London School of Economics (LSE) or the online courses the process is the same. Use the Add to Cart button to add a course to the PayPal shopping cart which directs you to a summary of what's in the shopping cart (click the View Cart button if you want to see what's in the shopping cart - you can add or remove items). If you don't have a PayPal account, click 'Check Out' (which directs you to the 'PayPal Guest Checkout form'), fill in your address and contact details (your financial details are not shared with us), click 'Pay Now', and you will receive a PayPal Payment Receipt e-mail which is copied to us and confirms your enrolment on the course (subject to availability). If you clicked the 'PayPal Check out' button you can still pay without a PayPal account by clicking the 'Pay by Debit or Credit Card' button, which directs you to the 'PayPal Guest Checkout form' as above.
After payment, click Return to Seller (it's important to do this to be redirected to our website) where you'll be directed back to a Confirmation Page (bookmark the page!) on our website. If you booked the London School of Economics (LSE) course (registration is done on the day) this page will show the details of the date, time and address and directions for the London School of Economics (LSE) course where you can download the venue map. If you booked an online course the Confirmation Page will explain that you'll be e-mailed a link to register for the online course 4 weeks in advance of the actual course start date. (After registering for an online course, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link that you click to join the online course on the day).
Please fill in the correct e-mail address in the PayPal Check Out Form, as we will use this if we need to contact you and also to send you an e-mail reminder (containing venue location or instructions of how to join the online course) 2 weeks before any course starts. If something goes wrong, or you don't see the Confirmation Page, or you have any questions, please send us an e-mail or telephone us via our contact page.
Please contact us if you have any questions. If you don't hear from us immediately, remember that your PayPal Payment Receipt e-mail (which is copied to us) confirms your enrolment on the course (subject to availability), no further action from you is required, and we'll respond as soon as possible to any queries.
Online Courses
Online courses and tuition are conducted via the Zoom Video Conferencing platform which we also use successfully for online tuition as it has excellent on-screen writing tools and is far better than Skype. The advantages of an online course are that you can join whatever your geographical location, reducing your travel costs, delivering excellent content and course materials as well as allowing the same one to one feedback and questions via the zoom online tools. There is full audio and video, so students can ask questions and see the screen I share with you, which will show questions and notes for each topic we cover. We will use a virtual whiteboard and students can write on the screen if they have a touch screen. You can download the pdf handouts (notes and exam question packs by topic) which are the same course materials given in the face to face courses. The course content of the face to face courses and online courses is the same.
With an online course, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail with a link to join the Zoom online meeting on the specific day. When you click the link, the zoom plugin will load in your browser (there is no need to install software unless you use an ipad, but we give instructions in the confirmation email how to install for ipad and how to test zoom on your device), and you will have joined the online meeting and have full video and audio. Courses held at the LSE
Many of our course dates are for face to face courses held at the LSE in London. After booking you'll be redirected to a Confirmation Page (see above) giving the venue address, directions and room number. At the venue, registration will take place 15 minutes before the start time of 9am. Each course is from 9am - 5:30pm with a one hour Q&A working lunch break which you are free to attend. There are also two 15 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.
Tuition
You may want to arrange one or more one-hour online (zoom or Skype) or face to face (we are based in London) tutorials. To do this, please either call or send an e-mail enquiry that you want to arrange a one-one tutorial session using our details on the contact page.
Disclaimer & Terms and Conditions
The courses are subject to availability. There may be circumstances beyond our control where e.g. the course leader may not be able to give the course on the day or the venue may be cancelled due to circumstances beyind our control. In circumstances such as these an alternative will be provided, i.e. the same course will be provided online with the same course content and the same handouts available to download or a full refund will be given.
